Welcome to Forest Church York!
Forest Church is meeting in a different location! On Saturday 27th April 2024, we are taking part in an Eco Conference at Acomb Churches Together.
Tickets are now on sale for ACT NOW for a Better World Eco conference on 27th April in Acomb, York. The keynote by Prof Colin Beale (A Rocha) will examine how collectively we can effect real, tangible improvements to the big picture of environmental change, and through a compelling series of workshops we will look at the range of actions we can take at a local and national level (eco campaigning, net zero churches, garden biodiversity, prayer for creation and much more). Bringing together a range of speakers and workshop leaders, with opportunities for networking, the day aims to encourage conversations, create connections, inspire individual and group action and examine how faith and the environment are intertwined. Early-bird tickets are £10 (£5 for under-18s), and include access to the keynote, 2 workshops, a vegan soup and roll lunch and networking opportunities. For more information and booking, please see:

We explore God’s creation in many ways. There are games to play, minibeasts to hunt, and dens to be made. There’s always a drink and a snack. We wonder at the enormity of creation and our part in it, and follow up with prayers or a relevant Bible story to fit our activities.
Parents and carers stay with their children and join in the fun. It is aimed at primary school children and their siblings, but children of all ages are welcome.
Remember that the woods are full of exciting plants and insects, so we need to protect ourselves. Long trousers and long sleeves are recommended, as are wellies and waterproofs if the weather has been wet.

During the first lockdown we did a colour hunt for things we can see out of our windows. Have a look at our Gallery to see photos that people have sent in.
